Fighting monsters, inner parts of ourselves we made evil,

we locked them in cages and placed them in dungeons.

Hiding so deep that we can’t remember they ever existed.

If by “chance” an external event touches us disproportionately,

Allow these old trapped parts to resurface, bring them to light,

Keeping them in a hole destroys our Self as it keeps us fighting.
